We will be leaving the church on the 25th at 6:00 a.m. Check in will start at 5:30 a.m. (yawn!!) Please read and follow the below info throughly and you and your child It is our desire that every child that wants to go to camp will get to go. If you need help, financially, sending your child to camp, please contact Pastor Tal ASAP (by the end of April at the latest). We are presently working on a fund raiser to help our kids attend camp. Only kids that help with fund raising will be considered for financial help with camp. Camp scholarships will be given based on need, church attendance, help with fund raisers, and funds available.

Medications: All medications brought to camp shall be clearly labeled in their original container to include: 1) campers name, 2) name of prescribing physician, 3) prescription number, 4) date prescribed, 5) name of medication, 6) directions for use. All medications are to be kept by the camp nurse. It is the responsibility of the camper to go to the nurses station for medications at prescribed times. Please contact Pastor Tal in regards to children with special diet needs.
Bugs: Sorry but... you know that kids sometimes get them. Children who attend public school are very likely, at one time, to get lice. We will be inspecting children for lice before we leave the church. Public health guidelines observed by the camp state that NO children with lice or nits will be allowed to attend camp. You may want to check your child at least a week to 10 days before the 25th to make sure they do not have them little boogers. This will give you treatment time before camp, and will prevent embarrassment and a great disappointment for the children. Camp rules state that children who arrive with lice will be sent home. In this case you will be taking a trip to North Texas. The responsibility of making sure the child is lice free rests with the parent or guardian.
Visits and calls: It is recommended that parents refrain from visiting with, or calling children during camp. Experience has proven that that practice often promotes homesickness. Parents should limit calls to those of an urgent nature. Campers will not be allowed to use the phone for casual calls. Office number: Camp 972-937-5291
Dress: Please mark all clothing and other items with first and last name and church name. All campers are expected to dress and groom themselves neatly and modestly. Inappropriate clothing (such as those with alcohol, tobacco, satanic, and sexual slogans) is not permitted. Shorts, mid-thigh length may be worn except to service. Dress, slacks or jeans may be worn by girls to the evening services. Boys should wear slacks or clean jeans. If the shorts are too short, children will be asked to change. Backless, or halter-type dresses or blouses, belly shirts, tank tops, spaghetti straps, extremely tight or see-through clothing will not be acceptable. If a camper's clothing is deemed inappropriate, they will be asked to change. When in doubt, leave it at home. All dress and conduct is to conform to Christian standards and practice. Cover clothing must be worn to and from the pool or lake. Do not bring favorite or expensive articles of clothing, jewelry, or valuables to camp. Shoes must be worn at all times. Note: each year there are piles of new and old clothing left behind. This represents alot of hard earned cash thrown into the trash. Identifying your child's clothing is one safeguard in protecting your investment. You may also want to talk with you child about care of clothing. Supplying a dirty clothes bag can help.
Camp card: All campers will recieve a camp card good for $15.00 in concessions. This is included in your $130.00 camp tuition.
Cold hard cash: Cash is a dangerous thing in a child's hands. I suggest not giving you child a lot of cash, if any. Chances are, you will not be getting any back. They will get their "3 squares" a day and will have their camp card for a few goodies. If your child does bring cash to camp, they may want to give it to their camp coach/monitor for safe keeping or monies can be given to pastor Tal prior to leaving for camp.
The trip: We are asking parents to pack a lunch for the trip to camp. We will stop along the way to have a quick picnic since the camp will not be serving until that evening. The Children's Ministries Department will pick up the tab for eats on the way back. We most likely do fast food. Donations will be accepted to help with the return trip meal.
